We have built up deep expertise and extensive experience in a very wide range of fields and problem solving processes. In addition we remain flexible, and will apply our knowledge to design a custom process to fit your needs.
Mediation and facilitated problem-solving has a proven track record of leading to mutually agreed and implementable outcomes in a very high number of cases. Through hard work and Ben Schoeman’s commitment, work ethic and diligence you can rely on successful results.
Where a case litigated through the courts could take months or years to resolve, mediation can be completed in a matter of days or weeks, depending on the availability of the parties and the complexity of the matter.
Mediation and facilitated problem solving is always cost effective when measured against the cost of a failure to deal with or resolve a dispute or against litigation. We will also keep his fees and costs affordable and negotiable.
Adjudication is a formal range of techniques and processes for the resolution of disputes outside the courts. It can take the form of an arbitration, hearing, investigation, or a combination of processes.
Facilitation is any process where a third party chairs a conversation. The facilitator supports and manages constructive dialogue between groups with diverse and often diametrically opposite views or positions.
By working closely with you, and developing an understanding of your unique requirements, we can help you design approaches, procedures and systems for addressing and resolving conflicts.
During 2013 and 2014, Ben Schoeman was the lead mediator in a complex multi-party mediation between a private commercial enterprise and an affected community in Uganda, conducted on behalf of the Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman (CAO) of the World Bank Group.
